Sunday Small Talk

After a full weekend of wintery fun, it’s nice to arrive at Sunday afternoon. Today will be nice and relaxed. Leftovers for lunch. Movie tonight. Phew.

This weekend, we started a snow sculpture with some friends. Yesterday’s task: Build a wall, 2 ft x 8ft, and 10 ft tall. It’s harder than it sounds! We used to 2×4 and OSB to help us form the blocks.

20140125_142222After our day out in the cold, we headed to Short’s Brewery in Bellaire, MI, to hear The Accidentals. I highly recommend both.

but…and….and

It feels like it’s been a bipolar day. A few bummy parts, but they were followed almost immediately by at least two awesome occurrences. Score!

This morning, I woke up to a torrential downpour (thus killing my kayaking plans..)

BUT ….work was way productive this morning.

AND I got so much done!

AND I had leftover homemade pizza for lunch 🙂

We had a long meeting at work this afternoon.

BUT…. I went to Michigan City to have dinner with a friend and his girl 🙂

AND dinner=blueberry crepes. Happiness.

AND they fed me banana bread. After they found the knife to cut it…

It was a process.

I got pulled over on the way home. By a cop. With sirens. AH!

BUT, I didn’t get a ticket or even a written warning.

AND I had two great phone conversations.

AND, when I stopped at McDonalds for an ice cream cone (stress eating. pure and simple. the cop freaked me out), I was handed a free chocolate shake.

SCORE!

AND my roommates make me laugh.

AND it’s Friday tomorrow.

AND it’s the start of a long weekend.
