A Fun, Fall Afternoon

I’m a summer girl, through and through. Sunshine, flip flops, and water. Summer, summer, summer. Alas, fall is here and it’s here to stay in northern Michigan. I’m trying not to hate it too much. Despite the chilly temps, we went to visit a farm and pumpkin patch this past weekend while my little sister was in town.

We had a good time feeding the goats, horse, and llama, picking out a pumpkin, and buying donuts and hot cider. If you’re in the Cadillac, MI, area, head out to Dick Family Farm. I wish we’d had more time to stay and play in the corn box (think sandbox, but with dried corn!), take a tour of their farm, and go on a hayride. We just might have to head back before the end of the season!

Getting all 5 of us out the door isn’t for the feint of heart, but it’s always worth it! Are you heading to a pumpkin patch this fall? Most will be open the next two weekends (at least!)

In case you missed it….our fall staycation last year and some special Christmas traditions
