Insanity. Absolute Insanity!

I’ve been working like a dog. All sorts of crazy hours! But, the good news is that almost everyone is here, so things should calm down shortly. I haven’t taken any pictures because I’ve been too busy doing things to take photos of all the craziness.

In the last couple of days, I have:

  • handed out more than 100 registration packets and written down about as many credit card numbers and their corresponding information.
  • made 3 trips to South Bend (on top of the 2 last week) to pick up faculty/students
  • met approx. 250 new people. Forgotten almost as many names.
  • not slept enough.

Oy. Pictures forthcoming. Promise.

Alright, I’ve been trying to figure out “what’s next” post-half marathon. I think what’s next is going to be an Olympic Triathlon. I only say “think” because of the craziness of summer and the fact that I’m not sure I’ll have enough training time. Except for the swim, I don’t think that I’ll have much building to do. BUT, I’m going to want to get in at least a couple of quality brick workouts before the tri on August 22. And all that takes time.

On the other hand, a triathlon is definitely on my bucket list.

Do any of you lovely readers have any tri experience and, as such, words of wisdom for me?

  1. So, to me, the most logical thing after a half marathon would be a full marathon!!! That’s my goal at least. To run a half and then eventually after a full 🙂
