Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am about to embark upon a quest that currently seems quite formidable, potentially impossible, and more than a little bit crazy.
The BBC, back in the day, created a reading challenge called The Big Read in order to determine the UK’s best-loved book. As a result, they compiled a list of the top 100 books. And I, a lowly, piano-playing runner-chick from the cornfields of Indiana, am going to tackle it in it’s entirety. And there is no place to begin better than the beginning. No. 1. The Lord of the Rings, by JRR Tolkien.
For me: a trip to the library is officially on my to-do list for tomorrow. For you: please keep your hands, arms, and legs inside the vehicle at all times. We are not responsible for lost appendages. Hang on for the ride!
